Like the Strength card in tarot, tame your inner beast, but do not break your beast's spirit. Don't let your beast run amok, but tame your beast with love and gentleness. To encourage this balancing, place the Strength card from your favorite tarot deck on your altar. Light a yellow candle. Visualize yourself standing strong, proud, and free. You are a noble beast, courageous and generous. Say:

I am the ruler of my inner beast. I honor my beast by feeding it and giving it exercise. I do not subdue it by force. I work with my beast for our mutual benefit. I love my beast and respect it. We are one.

Snuff out the candle but not your beast.
