Honoring the Deep

This spell honors those dark places within us where water and darkness rule. For this spell, you need to be in water physically or imagine yourself there. Try to do this ritual at night and naked, as you're going beyond the surface. Enter the water and take a moment to relax. Let the water support and caress you. Close your eyes. What emotion comes up to the surface? Is it anger, pain, or happiness? Take note of each feeling. Do not try to solve it or keep it down, just let it flow. As the ritual ends, say a thank-you prayer:

Thank you, spirit of water, for showing me the deep. May I use this knowledge for the betterment of myself and the world. So mote it be.

Exit the water feeling refreshed. Take what you learned and move forward. If it is something you can't handle alone, seek help.
