Tonight is Samhain, famously celebrated in mainstream culture as Halloween. If pumpkin is the ubiquitous vegetable associated with this festival, then the fruit of Samhain is the magical apple. After all, can you imagine celebrating Samhain without apple bopping or candied apples?
