Everybody loves popsicles, and popsicles leave popsicle sticks. Save yours; wash and dry them carefully. When you have twenty sticks, make a set of Ogham staves. Ogham is an ancient Celtic alphabet used in magical writing and is made by carving or painting lines on wood or stone. To make your set, first look up the letters of the Ogham alphabet, readily available on the Internet or in magical books such as Ogam: The Celtic Oracle of the Trees by Paul Rhys Mountfort. Use red or black paint to mark one Ogham sign on the end of each stick. Allow them to dry. Store your Ogham staves in a cloth bag for safekeeping. To learn Ogham, draw one stick from the bag each morning. Look up its meaning and meditate on the interpretation. After going through all the staves, repeat the process, trying to remember the meaning without looking it up.
