To celebrate the birthday of the eighteenth century champion of the limerick, Edward Lear, write your own five-line rhyming poem using an A, A, B, B, A pattern of rhyme. Use your words to engage and entertain, educate and involve. Use your words to make magic, altering consciousness at will. Like the traditional mummers who shaped group energy, and magical practitioners who craft spells and incantations, use your words to make change. Craft a limerick that iwll remind you time and again what you want to remember.

There once was a Pagan daughter,
Who loved earth, air, fire and water,
She followed the seasons,
That taught her good reason,
And gave thanks for all they brought her.
When my life needs correction,
I use meditation and reflectin,
I look to the Wheel,
Because seasons are real,
And nature teaches direction.
