Father Time

Color of the day:  Indigo
Incense of the day:  Ivy

Saturday is named for the Roman god Saturn, god of agriculture, structure, and order. His image is the basis for the figure of Father Time, reminding us of the passing of the years. Today, with the Moon in a waning phase, is a good time to ponder the passage of time and meditate on how we spend our precious time. Perhaps you need to organize certain areas of your life, work on time management, or dedicate more free time to enjoy life's pleasures. To remind yourself of your goal, meditate on an hourglass. Some measure shorter lengths of time than a full hour, so find one of these if you wish. Focus on the sand pouring through it. Visualize an hourglass if you can't find one. Listen to music of drums or other rhythmic sounds. Remember that time is passing, and make the most of every moment you have.
