Wishing Well (Feast Day of St Claud)

Color of the day:  Rose
Incense of the day:  Thyme

In ancient times, the waters of many wells were considered sacred, said to bestow wisdom, bring healing, and generate luck for those who drank from them.
People made pilgrimages to these sites, leaving offerings as thank-you tokens for the gifts and blessings received. Today, create your own wishing well and invite others to the party!
Start with a pot, cauldron, or chalice filled with water and spend some minutes singing, chanting, or intoning your intention:

Waters pure and clear, you are the gateway to eternity;

A wishing well that we might drink in the wisdom of the ages;

A wishing well that we might heal the wounds of old;

A wishing well that we might open to your magic.

Let everyone take a turn at the well, and after a time of contemplation or prayer and a small sip of water, invite them to leave a dime to honor the spirit of the well. Silver affirms the water's power and the number 10 helps to actualize the wish.
