This month is usually crammed with plans to travel, visit, or attend various events that may or may not be magical. Having your own portable altar can help you ground and center after a day of stressful experiences. The portable altar can be as elaborate or simple as you like. I've seen many hand-carved wooden boxes cleverly designed to hold equipment and also serve as a formal table for a working. I've also seen a small cosmetic bag used for essentials to create an altar in a few minutes!
I have both, and I confess I use the cosmetic bag more often. A few white votive candles (keep it small and simple), a small jar of anointing oils, a small jar of sea salt, and a couple of feathers are all you really need to create a sacred space anywhere you go. Choosing the items can be really fun, and you can personalize your altar as much as you like.
