"Much in a Little"

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Lilac

Creating a portable, miniature altar leaves one ready to work magic anytime and anyplace. Begin with a small tin breath-mint box.
Add a small stone (Earth), a birthday cake candle (Air and Fire), and a tiny shell (Water) to represent the four elements. A jar lid, or small spoon, becomes a chalice, while a toothpick serves as a wand.
Cut a small piece of thin cloth for an altar cloth and include representations of deity figures. Small screw-top vials can hold salt, water, or oil with a tiny mirror or bit of glass providing a scrying surface. Add bits of herbs, a charcoal tablet, a few strike-anywhere matches, and any other items you choose.
Store the kit in a purse, briefcase, or glove box, and you'll be prepared for magic 24/7. When you use it, incant multum in parvo: "much in a little," honoring your small workings as emblems of a larger result.
