LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

St. Chad's Day

Color of the day:  Gray
Incense of the day:  Patchouli

St. Chad was an English bishop and founder of a monastery who died in 672. He was noted for his fondness of taking long walks.
Today, in honor of St. Chad's Day, take a walk. But don't just walk-use the journey as a kind of meditation to seek the natural world. Even if the weather isn't ideal for walking, go outside for a while anyway. Take a long look around you and comtemplate everything you see. We often take our surroundings for granted. Keep an open mind and be willing to discover something new.
Look beyond the obvious and use your imagination!
What do you see? Write about it in a journal. Here's a chant to ponder as you walk:

"Move my body, step by step,
As I look around,
Let me see beyond what's here,
More than sky and ground."
