Pointer-Finger Magic Wand

Color of the day:  Red
Incense of the day:  Cedar

We can carry a magic wand, but we probably don't have it at hand at all times. What we always have at hand is the oldest magic wand of all: our forefinger. The index, or pointer, finger is ruled by Jupiter. Using the index finger of your stronger hand (right if you're right-handed, left if you're left-handed), create energy by drawing little sunwise circles to create magic and draw energy toward you. To repel or unwind energy, draw little moonwise circles.
With the new moon, we usually do magical work to bring something new into our life. Consider what you want-abundance, health, creativity, etc.-and create a symbol of it. You can draw it, visualize it, or use a real physical object. With your symbol firmly in mind, begin drawing little sunwise circles with your power finger. Do this with dawn's rising energy every morning as the moon waxes.
