Color of the day: Rose Incense of the day: Mint On Good Friday, many Christian traditions focus on austerity, but the Moravians observe the day with a "lovefeast"-a traditional meal celebrating love, unity, and harmony. To hold your own love feast, play melodious music, light pink and green candles, and serve sweet pastries or buns with coffee and/or beer. You might also serve heart-opening foods such as leafy greens and sweet fruit. Invite friends and family, or keep it intimate with just your partner or household. When you sit down, declare your intention and invoke divine help by saying something like:
"We call upon the Spirit of Love as we
sit down to this lovefeast. Please bless
our meal and our food, and may all
that we think, say, and do-now and
always-increase the love and harmony
in the world. Thank you."
All words spoken during the meal must embody appreciation, positivity, and love. |
