Autumn Storage

This time of year signals the need to prepare for winter. It is time to take stock and begin to clean and put away the items used only in the summer. In modern times, this would include such things as lawnmowers and pool equipment. All of these things can be cleaned and stored with intent, bringing the magic of the everyday into your life.
For many of us, connecting to the seasonal shifts isn't really experienced through the planting or livestock cycles anymore. We do, however, have our own seasonal cycles, and we can use these to connect to the greater energy shifts of the earth. Even something as mundane as packing away swimsuits can be an opportunity to connect with the energy shift. Simply reminisce about summer and gradually shift focus to concentrate on the here and now, then visualize the coming winter.
