As we approach the end of January and the moon wanes, it seems like a great time to cast away any baneful energies that might be lingering from the previous year and the stress of the holiday season. Make some noise to drive out the baddies! Get a wooden spoon and bang on the bottom of a big pan, ring bells, shake a rattle, crank up some of your favorite music, and use sound to scare away any dark, musty vibes that are still lurking. Sound has a way of sending vibrations into every corner, nook, and cranny that smudging or asperging just can't reach. As you make your magical racket, do so with the intention that you're clearing out your house. Begin at one end of your home and work your way counterclockwise. Release and end by shooing any astral nasties right out the back door, shouting:

"And stay out!"
