Spell to Make Friends with Garden Fey

Color of the day:  Blue
Incense of the day:  Magnolia

Our gardens can be magical places, full of beauty and woodland creatures. But it is also possible to attract spiritual beings to these places. One great way to attract the fey (fairies, devas, sprites, etc.) is to leave out their favorite foods. They enjoy milk and all dairy products, sweets, wine and beer, and freshly made bread. Place a very small amount of fairy food on a plate and leave in a welcoming spot in your garden. Folklore tells us that the fey do not actually take the food away, but enjoy its essence/life force and leave the physical remains behind. (You may find that other garden creatures will enjoy these remains, so you can protect them from marauding squirrels with netting if necessary.) Leave the food and drink out at night on a regular basis (once a month or more). The fey are especially active at full and new moons and the cross-quarter days.
