To See Clearly Through Anger

We all have times when our emotions overcome our good judgment. Anger, in particular, has the ability to distort our perception and understanding. If you suspect that your anger is clouding your thoughts, take time out for a few deep breaths. When you are calm, recite the following:

Let my anger depart and soothe my wounded heart.

Remove the scales from upon my eyes, help me to see through hate and lies.

No more my thoughts shall clouded be, instead it shall be the truth I see.

Let me understand with clarity and return to a mind of acuity.

Repeat as necessary while the problem persists.
