Tea for Two (or Three or More!)

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Mint

There is nothing so comforting as a spot of tea, especially when it includes scones with gobs of raspberry jam and clotted cream. Afternoon tea is a bit of a luxury- we are always busy-but it is essential to remember the importance of maintaining our relationships with others. Invite friends to tea for a ritual of reconnection.

Clear a table and bless it as sacred space. Lay out your tea service and any food and hot water as if you were setting up an altar. Incorporate elements into your meal and table setting that symbolize friendship, such as pineapples, lemons, irises, yellow roses, and ivy. When everyone sits down, hold hands to form an unbroken circle and speak a spell of friendship together:

"Tea and sympathy, Friendship and empathy, Teatime is our time to reconnect."

Then ... enjoy. Savor every moment.
