Release an Old Flame

If things are over between you and an ex-partner, but they don't quite feel over in the energetic realm, it's time to cut the cords. First, if you have any of their old stuff, get it out of your space. Drop it by when they're not home or (if you've reasonably tried to return it and can't) donate it to a thrift store. Next, safely smudge your space with a bundle of desert sage. When this is complete, hold a modest length of hemp twine between your hands. Say:

"This cord represents all lingering
attachments between me and (name of your ex-partner)."

Snip the twine with scissors and then safely burn both halves: throw them in a fire or burn them in a cauldron or pot. Finally, smudge yourself with the sage and give thanks to the divine for cutting the cords, cleansing you of their residue, and allowing you to reclaim your power.
