Interdependence Incantation

Color of the day:  Topaz
Incense of the day:  Honeysuckle

An incantation is the use of words as a magic spell, a chant that produces magical results.

Carl Jung believed that everyone has internalized energy: men have an inner feminine called the anima, and women have an inner masculine called the animus. To be happy, healthy, and whole, we need to develop the strengths of both the masculine and the feminine.

With the right hand symbolizing the masculine and the left hand symbolizing the feminine, clasp your hands together to symbolize their interdependence. Envision your masculine and feminine energies intertwined and interdependent, like the two parts of the yin-yang. Incant:

"Like yin and yang, black and white,
Are male and female, day and night.
Sun and moon, earth and sea,
Two parts intertwine in me.
Gentle and forceful, slow and fast,
Emotion and mind, future and past.
Balanced and powerful,
stable and strong,
Intertwined in the present
is where I belong."
