Road Trip

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Honeysuckle

In 1909, Alice Huyler Ramsey and three friends became the first women to complete a transcontinental auto trip, taking fifty-nine days to travel from New York City to San Francisco.

This is the time of year when many go on a holiday. How about a visit to Salem, Massachusetts? See the sights at what many consider to be America’s “birthplace of witchcraft,” a somewhat dubious historical distinction. Best to go before the secular visitors invade the spot in a few months. Or if your tastes run to more literary vacations, go to Tarrytown, New York, and visit the home of Washington Irving, creator of the popular Headless Horseman legend. Every state, every country, and every continent offers vacation sites both magical and educational. Make this a summer vacation to remember. New sights, sounds, tastes, new experiences and expansion of knowledge— travel brings all of that. Let us never tire of these experiences. Go forth and conquer.
