Invocation for Peace

Color of the day:  Turquoise
Incense of the day:  Apricot

Winter can be a difficult time, when the days are short and the nights are long, and light and warmth are in short supply. But there is a benefit to these things as well. The world is quieter and slower, and if you so desire, you can tap into this natural lull in energy to find that quiet inside yourself.

First thing in the morning, or at some time in the evening before you go to bed, take a minute to say this simple invocation for peace. (You can do this on any day during the winter season.) If you want, you can light a candle first, making sure it is someplace safe so you can sit without worry as it burns down.

Quiet of winter,
Calm of winter,
Be within me, as you are without.
Bring me peace.
So mote it be.
