Bonfire and Flames

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Magnolia

As we move deeper into the fall, the cooler air and darkening nights bring to mind the charm of being around a crackling bonfire. The smell of the wood smoke, the company of friends, the warmth of the fire … what could be better?

Whether or not you can have an actual bonfire, this is a perfect time to make a connection to the element of fire. Fire can be found in many different forms, from a single candle to a grouping of tealights, a barbeque, or a fireplace. Choose the one that works best for you and approach it mindfully and with appreciation for the gifts and power of fire. Kindle your flame and spend a few minutes basking in the light and warmth it gives off. Then say:

Fire so bright,
Fire so warm,
Share your light,
I feel your charm.
