The waxing moon moves into Cancer. The moon rules Cancer, providing a double dose of maternal, nurturing, and emotionally watery energy. But Cancerian energy is not just about caring for others. Use it to care for yourself.

Whether you shower or bathe, use the opportunity to purify, neutralize, and anoint. Gather some salt and some oil. ( Table salt is fine, but use sea or Epsom salt if you have it. Olive oil can be used, but a few drops of essential oil in a carrier will feel luxurious.) Remove your clothing and step into the tub. Rub salt over your body, especially your elbows, knees, and feet. Say:

Salt, purify me.

Run some water and rinse off the salt, saying:

I release what is rough and tough.

Shower or bathe as usual, and after rinsing off and before getting out of the tub, gently anoint your body with oil. Say:

I anoint myself everywhere, invoking
sacred self-care. Blessed be.
