POSTED UNDER Autumn, Blessing, Midsummer, AND MORE

Honoring the Journey

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Hyssop

For many of us, August is the beginning of the harvest season. The raucous growth of midsummer has mellowed as we settle into the golden light of late summer. If we're paying attention, we'll find that the signs of autumn are emerging.

As the moon wanes, this is a good time to look back with gratitude and honor the fruits of our past efforts and embrace the changes that mark our journey ahead. For this spell, you will need three tealight candles.

Light the first candle and say:

I look back upon my journey with gratitude and honor for my past endeavors.

I thank the Goddess/God for my many blessings.

Light the second candle and say:

I honor my current path as I continue to grow in strength and power.

I thank the Goddess/God for the light that leads me through darkness.

Light the third candle and say:

I honor the threshold of new possibilities.

I thank the Goddess/God for guidance as I release those things that no longer serve me.

Extinguish the candles when done.
