DEFINITIONs:
1.  Gardner, Gerald Brosseau (1884-1964) is perhaps the best-known figure in modern Witchcraft. Gardner was the founder of Gardnerian Wicca, one of the leading Traditions in the Wicca movement that began in the early 1960s.

2.  His book in 1954 entitled Witchcraft Today was the first about Witchcraft by a self-proclaimed Witch. He is considered the father of modern Wicca.
