EDI Administrator and Applications Support Specialist  »  Apply Online

Responsibilities:

  • EDI Development / Management: Monitor and troubleshooting EDI transactions, ensuring seamless data exchanges between internal systems and external partners.
  • Software Management: Oversee and optimize key software platforms used across the company to maintain reliability and scalability.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert-level support for internal software users, resolving inquiries efficiently and ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Integration Management: Collaborate with vendors and company departments to implement and optimize EDI workflows and other system integrations.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain process documentation and user-friendly guides for applications and systems.

 

Requirements:

  • IT related associate or bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.  
  • 3-5 years working experience in application development, support, and maintenance.
  • Proven expertise in managing and supporting diverse software platforms across an organization.
  • Work within ERP publishing solution and collaborate with vendor to ensure optimized performance and availability of ERP.
  • Strong knowledge of EDI translation/communication software with multiple types of communication protocols, e.g. VAN, SFTP, AS2, FTP.
  • Experience working with ANSI X12 standard transaction sets such as 810, 820, 850, 855, 856 and 857.
  • Required programming experience in one or more of these languages:  SQL, RPG, PHP, PLSQL, JAVA Script, Transact SQL or another comparable language.
  • Experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, MS Access.
  • A proactive, independent problem-solver with a willingness to investigate and gather data to resolve issues before escalating to another level of support. 
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with attention to detail, to gather requirements, implement improvements, and ensure smooth cross-departmental operations.

 

Preferences:

  • Prior experience with IBM iSeries
  • SharePoint site administration
  • Crystal Reports and Sequel Viewpoint reporting tools
  • Prior experience with the publishing industry, including ASN procedures for large companies such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Ingram, etc.
  • SQL Developer experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 software including Teams, Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Remote Desktop solutions for working on virtual and remote servers/machines
  • ONIX (Online Information Exchange)
