Wednesdays (ruled by Mercury) are aligned with Odin, the All-Father, who sacrificed one of his eyes to gain additional wisdom. As he has a wealth of knowledge within him, we can utilize the runes to gather additional insight from him. You can use a rune set, or if you do not have one, you can create one with slips of paper cut into uniform shapes. Draw a rune symbol on each slip of paper. Place the runes or slips of paper into a bag and mix them thoroughly. Close your eyes and think of something you need an answer to. Ask Odin for his assistance by saying:

Odin, hear my plea; allow the truth to be known to me!

Draw one rune from the bag. Take it out and lay it on your altar. Look up the meaning, if you are not familiar with it, and contemplate how it pertains to your question. Reflect on it throughout the week.
