Spell: Embracing the Shadow Self

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

As the Autumn Equinox passes and the dark half of the year unfolds, find a quiet space where you can be alone with your thoughts. Safely light a single black candle, symbolizing the shadow self. Sit comfortably with your eyes closed, taking deep, relaxing breaths. Visualize the darkness as a gentle mist, embracing you with love rather than fear. With each inhale, draw this mist inward, allowing it to connect with your whole being. With each exhale, release any judgment toward the darker aspects of yourself. Place your hands over your heart and speak these words softly:

I greet the shadows within and acknowledge all parts of my being. May I find clarity, courage, and strength in the hidden realms as I embrace the dark half of the year. I honor the lessons of the shadow and carry them with grace.

Sit in silent reflection for a few moments, then extinguish the candle, allowing yourself to remain open to any lessons as you step into the season ahead.
