LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Fire Divination

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Color of the day: Gray
Incense of the day: Juniper

August 9 is the festival of the salamanders. The Greeks were the first people to regard salamanders as the elemental spirits of fire. They often appear as small balls of light within a flame. Without the salamanders, there would be no warmth or light. You must always approach elementals with a sincere heart. Be warned that they hate cowardice and greed. Wear red, yellow, and orange clothing today. Build a fire, and into it toss dried mandrake root and yarrow as an offering to the salamanders. Ask your question. Gaze into the flames as the fire burns down. You will see images that speak to your future.
