Incense of the day: Juniper Tuesday is ruled by Mars, the planetary ruler of conflict and protection. Its associated color is red. Its energy is commanding and masculine. Historically, Mars was the Roman god of war. Few of us find ourselves in the middle of a war, but everyone experiences conflict. Here is a spell to draw on the energy of Mars for victory in personal struggles. You will need a small piece of iron or steel, some pungent incense such as cinnamon or dragon's blood, and a lighter. First light the incense. Iron is the metal of Mars. Hold a piece of it in your hand and visualize it filling with fierce power. Concen-trate on this until the incense burns out. Then rub incense ash on the metal. Carry the piece of metal with you. When you need extra power, touch the metal and say: "Mighty Mars, grant me victory!" |
