Color of the day: Gray
Incense of the day: Basil Visit the ocean at this time of year to experience its powerful cooling waters and honor its sacred essence. A return to the salt waters of our creation can be a potent healing and transformational experience. In Scotland, the ocean was believed to be so powerful that it could take in and transmute disease. A charm was used in which part of the illness was given "to the great surging sea, for the ocean itself is the best instrument to carry it." Make a prayer to the Irish god of the sea, Mannanán mac Lir, or to the British divine healer Morgan le Fay (whose name means "Born of the Sea"). Make an offering (an object, or a pledge to help heal the oceans) before asking for their deep healing. |
