| If there's any chance you have parasitic energies attached to your person, consider this spell. First, think of any possible reason you might feel this way. (Remember that it's good to contemplate, but not good to play the blame-game.) Could another person be unconsciously draining your energy? Is it possible that you have astral "floaters" or leeches attached to your energy sphere? Could it be a harmful spirit of some variety? Is there something else that's sucking your life force? Is it your job, an unhealthy relationship, or discontent in another situation? Look for a practical solution. In addition to these "real-life" steps, you can incorporate magic by using the herb wormwood. Wormwood has long been used medicinally to purge internal parasites from the digestive tract. Similarly, it can be used energetically to purge parasitic energies. To perform a spell of this nature, construct a ritual space as you normally would. Think of a word or a phrase to repeat as a mantra, such as:
Flee from me, parasitic energy. So mote it be! Work yourself into an "ecstatic" state-one that allows for personal freedom and experimental magical action. As you chant your mantra, surround yourself in wormwood by throwing the dried herb around you, rolling around in it, burning it and smudging yourself with its smoke, and drinking some wormwood tea. (Please keep in mind that wormwood can be toxic in large doses, so don't drink more than a small cup's worth.) After you've surrounded yourself in the essence of wormwood, visualize yourself as cleansed and purified, thank the spirits, and close the circle. |
