Did you make a New Year’s resolution this year? Many people just don’t seem to be able to keep their promises, no matter how good their intentions. Usually it’s because their resolution was a bit too drastic. A great solution is to set smaller goals over the course of the entire year that add up to big changes come December. The new moon is an ideal time to set intentions. As the moon grows in the sky, so does your motivation! Think about what big change you want to make by the end of the year, and break it into twelve stages. At each new moon this year, you will set your intention to take the next step toward success. Write your intention for this first month on a slip of paper. Safely light a white candle and read it aloud within your personal sacred space. Keep the paper where you can read it every day and monitor your progress. When the next new moon arrives, it is time to move on to the next phase of your goal! Be sure to extinguish the candle. |
