LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Speed It Up

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

September 29 is National Coffee Day. Besides being many people’s favorite magical brew to start the day, coffee has other metaphysical properties that are worth noting. As caffeine tends to speed things up, why not tap into that potential energy to hurry along something that could use a boost? Coffee is generally easy to come by, and it’s also good for clearing and cleansing. You can add coffee to your spell in one of three easy ways:

 Liquid: Add black and freshly
brewed coffee to other liquids,
or pour it where it can be easily
absorbed.

 Coffee grounds: Allow the grounds
to dry, then sprinkle them in
places where things are stuck, or
mix them with incense.

Beans: Add the beans to satchels,
along with stones, herbs,
coins, and other small items that
wouldn’t mix well with liquid or
the fine particles of the grounds.
