Today is the anniversary of the 2012 death of comedian Phyllis Diller, one of the first female standup comedians who was known for her rather rambunctious personality. Today, let us celebrate women in historically male-dominated professions who have broken boundaries and trail-blazed a path to success for future generations. We all owe them a great deal. Gather a yellow candle in a holder and a pen and paper. Make a list of female trailblazers who have made a difference in your life, your line of work, your faith, your hobbies, or in any area of your life. Then light the yellow candle in honor of the inspiration these women have provided, read your list, and thank them for all they’ve done. Place the list under the candle, and supervise it until it burns out. Blessed be. |
