Spell: Spiderweb Spell to Release a Creative Block

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Spiders and their webs are ancient symbols of creativity. The spider weaves the web autonomously, from its own body, much like our ability to manifest is self-generated. This spell calls upon the magic of the spiderweb to release a creative block, whether it’s in your art, your writing, or your magic.

Materials:

  • A picture of a spiderweb
  • Enough sand to just cover the picture of the web
  • A tool pertaining to your creative project (a paintbrush for an artist, a pen for a writer, etc.) or a selenite wand

Put the picture on a flat surface and gently cover it with enough sand to just slightly obscure the image.

Beginning at the center of the web, use your utensil to trace it through the sand, pushing the sand aside to reveal the pattern of the spiderweb, while chanting:

I weave the web, my mind is

free, unleashing creativity.

When you’re done, take the picture outside and blow the sand away from you. Hang the picture somewhere near your creative space for inspiration.
