Spell: Best Choice Divination

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Use this divination to illuminate the path most likely to lead to success. Place a cupcake (or a thick slice of cake or dense bread) on a fireproof dish. Insert into it a series of birthday candles, choosing a different candle to represent each option you are contemplating. Light the candles quickly and as simultaneously as possible. Let them burn down completely, and notice which one melts down the fastest. The choice represented by this fastest-burning candle is your best option. Act swiftly.

Did any of the candles fizzle out before burning down past the halfway mark? The option represented by a candle that goes out prematurely will likely fail to get off the ground. Did any of the candles spark? The choice represented by such a candle carries a volatile energy that could be either an asset or a hindrance.

Make sure all the candles are out and cooled down before disposing of any remnants. You can eat the cupcake if you like, but you'll definitely want to scrape off the top layer where all the melted wax has dripped.
