Spell: Raise It Up!

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

National Ride the Wind Day is a time to marvel at not only the magic of flight but also the power of wind to create energy and help us travel—and you don't even have to fly in a plane, jump from a helicopter, or windsurf to partake in the fun! One of the simplest ways to celebrate is to fly a kite, and you can easily add a little more magic to it as well.

The magic is simply adding some written intentions or symbols to your kite so that as it rises, so does your intent. You can write on the body of the kite and also attach streaming ribbons of colors that coordinate with your working. If you're worried about the kite flying away, use symbols or hidden code to describe your goals.

You can of course take a storebought kite and augment it, but if you have the time, making a kite with friends or family can be a fantastic activity and learning exercise.
