Spell: Protecting a Friend

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

There's nothing like a good friend, and sometimes, when we see them troubled or in a difficult situation, we want to help. You can cast a spell of protection to guide them through the tough spots.

You'll need two small pieces of obsidian, two strings (preferably black) about 12 inches long, a white pillar candle, and either a saucer or a Mason jar (preferred) to hold the candle. (For a safer candle, use a flameless battery powered version.)

Carry out this spell with your friend. Place the stones and strings on your altar. Set the candle to one side and light it. Repeat:

Dear friend, find your way.

Be guided by this light.

Be protected from harm.

Be grounded in our friendship.

Extinguish the candle. Give one stone to your friend and ask them to leave it in a safe place. Leave your stone on your altar. Each of you should then tie a string to each other's wrists.

Each night, light your candle and repeat the charm. Wear the strings until the concern has passed. Then you may cut each other's strings free.
