Incense of the day: Ginger If you find yourself having to perform in some intense way-perhaps in a play or at a shareholder meeting or even just in front of a gathering of family members-you will occasionally find that you are more distressed afterward than you were beforehand. You can counterbalance this effect with a touch of solid Saturn energy. To start, stand straight, with feet shoulder-width apart, and relax. Remove your glasses or any other distraction, and allow your eyes to unfocus. Hold your arms out in front of you in a slightly arched posture as if they are draped around a beach ball. Feel your upper back relax. Slowly bring your hands up to your chest, and feel them pass through many successive thin layers of energy. Cross your hands over your lower sternum, draw a slow breath, and hold it for three heartbeats. Then push your breath out, almost in a gasp. You might feel a flush of warmth, but you will be otherwise be ready for your next big performance. |
