The intense focus required should raise your energy and your ability to concentrate. Start with a darkened room lit only with white or silver candles. Burn copal or frankincense to accentuate your mood. A tape of chanting or other evocative sounds can help you concentrate. Begin by closing your eyes and taking three deep breaths in and out. Open your eyes and concentrate on the scrying device. Empty your mind of its chatter; use the music and incense to think about whether you must let your mind wander.
