Incense of the day: Cinnamon The mints in my herb garden reach their peak in June. Their leaves glisten in the Sun, and their scent fills that corner of the garden. Herbalists have long regarded mint as a healing herb that calms us physically and mentally. If you're tense and can't rest, the scent of mint can help ease you into a peaceful sleep. To work this spell, cut at least three stems of mint-spearmint or peppermint are best-and place the stems in a small vase by your bed. Finely chop another three stems of mint, and place these on a white cloth. Tie the cloth up with blue ribbon. Inhale the scent deeply. Place the bag of mint beneath your pillow, and repeat these words three times: "Mint so green, bring me peaceful rest." |
