Incense of the day: Musk Today ends the ancient Roman observance of Feralia, a festival that honored the dead. Romans believed family ghosts would not rest until they were given small gifts-seeds, a flower, or a bit of grain were common. To honor your ancestors, on your altar place one yellow candle and a small saucer. In front of the candle place a photo of the deceased. Also on hand have a pinch of salt, some grain, a small piece of bread, and some red wine. Light the candle and begin placing the other items in the saucer. |
