Orthodox Good Friday
Some people think Friday the 13th is bad luck. There is a general belief that both FRidays and the number 13 are unlucky. And some unlucky things have happened on this day: the Knights Templar were all arrested on a Friday the 13th in 1307. However, witches believe that what may be bad luck for others symbolizes good luck to us - like black cats, for instance! And Pagans know that covens often have thirteen members, and Fridays are Freya's night - the perfect night for ritual. So gather thirteen of your friends and have a part, or celebrate today with thirteen good things to eat. Witches make their own luck, so feel free to say this short spell. Friday the 13th, just another day. I feel lucky, let's keep it that way! |
