What are you thankful for?
Sit quietly until images or words float into your mind. Using a fountain pen (so your energy flows into what you're writing) and the finest paper you can find, write at the top: I GIVE THANKS. Now write three really basic things you're grateful for. Examples: (1) My health is good (2) Someone loves me (who?) (3) I'm employed and have adequate income. Keep thinking. Write down three more things. Write neatly and legibly. No spelling errors! Read your list aloud. Pause after each item and say, "Thank you, Goddess" or "Thank you, [name of other god or goddess]." Fold your list into thirds and hold it against your chest. Visualize the words on your gratitude list flowing off the page and imprinting themselves on your heart in a beautiful calligraphic script. Carry gratitude on - and in - your heart for the rest of the year. |
