Hawthorn is a good plant to grow as a hedge, as it is protective for the home. There are taboos against bringing it indoors, so I won't suggest doing so (just in case). An excellent protection for your home is to plant a hawthorn bush in your front yard or to buy some dried hawthorn and tie it up in a red cloth bag and bury it in your front yard. Either way, as you plant say the words: "Ancient hawthorn, faery tree, protect my home and family. Spirit roots, grow deep and strong, protect from any who would do wrong." If you have planted a live plant, take special care of it always. If you have used the dried hawthorn as a charm, replace it every three months. |
