| Today is the Festival of Larentia, a goddess of the earth who commemorates the old year and celebrates the potential of the year to come. Spend the day cleaning out the old-not physical items, but simply clear your mind. Are there things that happened in the past year that you are still focusing on? Things that have not been resolved in the manner that you had hoped they would? Perhaps it is time to accept that they have indeed been resolved, just not to your satisfaction, and that you should move on. Sometimes we hold ourselves back while waiting for things to turn out the way we want them to.
Spend a few days meditating on these old issues and then release them. Learn what you need to from them, and then just let them go. A new year is coming. Give it the room it needs to grow and prosper. |
