LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Spell: Oracle Spell

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

On this day, people once traveled to seek the wisdom of the Roman goddess Fortuna, ruler of destiny and good fortune. Her temple at Praeneste was one of the largest in Italy. The modern city of Palestrina resides in that area now. Fortuna was reputed to be a powerful oracle.
Visitors would draw random pieces of oakwood from a jar. Each contained a message printed upon it. The message would offer advice or a prediction, sort of like our modern fortune cookie. In honor of this day, here's a divination spell.
Draw a card at random from your favorite tarot deck. The image on the card is your oracle for the day. Watch for signs throughout the day that reveal a connection to the message that card contains. Place it under your pillow or mattress tonight, and see if you receive insight through your dreams.
