Remember the TV show from the early '70s? Wonder Woman calling upon Isis and transforming into her super-heroine self?
Tonight, under the full moon, celebrate the birth of Isis, mother goddess of fertility, magic, and enchantment. Choose a safe space. Think of the multitude of roles you play in your day-to-day life: mother, daughter, sister, lover; brother, nephew, uncle, friend. In ritual space, face the moon. Strip off your clothes, letting go of the responsibilities of your mundane duties with each garment. Standing naked before the moon, call upon Isis like Wonder Woman did: "O mighty Isis, I am reborn tonight, magical and enchanted, fertile, fierce, and strong. I let go of doing. I embrace being. I am me. And I am free." As you put your clothing back on, pick up your roles and responsibilities, knowing that at the core of you is your super-heroine self-fertile, magical, and enchanted. |
