Spell: Breaking That Broken Record

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

It keeps happening. We get obsessed with something. It's undying love, eternal hate, an opinion, or a prejudice. We can't stop thinking or talking about it (or him or her). We sound like a broken record. It's time to let go.

Go to the nearest vinyl record store and buy their cheapest 78 rpm record. Light black and white candles on your altar and spend five minutes obsessing. Then say aloud:

"I need to let this go. I need to be mindful. I now break this broken record."

Break the record in half, then lay the pieces on your altar and be mindful. Stop yourself from speaking or thinking about your obsession. Extinguish the candles.

The next day, light the candles again, repeat your affirmation, and break the halves in half. On the third day, repeat the affirmation and shatter each piece of the broken record. Carry one piece in your pocket to remind you to be mindful.
